Danko and Xena de Querien-Can, working German shepherds, trained and used to the set: crews moving around, lights, cranes, vehicles and night shoots. They arrive with their handler and work on their mark, shot by shot.
When the scene calls for it, I step into shot in costume — police officer, civil guard, period character — and direct the dog from inside the frame, without taking the animal out of its work.
How we work on set
Working-line German Shepherds. Solid obedience, marks, long stays and distance control. They handle whatever a set throws at them: people, cables, machines, repetitions and waiting.
They always come with their handler. Nobody on the crew has to handle the dog.
If the scene needs the dog with an officer, a Guardia Civil officer or a period character, I come in costume and act as handler within the frame. Fewer cuts and a clean action.
Training at our own field and work at your home or on location.
The action is trained beforehand. On set it's only adjusted to the frame and the crew's pace.

Before booking a date
With three details I can tell you if the scene is feasible, which dog fits and how much preparation is needed. If it's not confirmed yet, whatever you have is enough.
Shoot days, schedules and whether there's a night shoot. With enough notice I prepare the action before arriving on set.
Where we shoot and what the space is like: interior, exterior, tracks, port, road. I work in Catalonia.
What it has to do on shot: stay still, walk to its mark, search, bark, get into a vehicle. The more specific, the better.
